Buenos Aires Art Week

Since last Sunday, more than 100 art galleries, museums and cultural centers of the city are participating in the Art Week.

The main attraction will be the Gallery Nights, that are starting today at 7pm. The  ninth edition of this great art urban scene includes panel discussions with guest artists and art collectors, guided tours in different neighborhoods and a drawing festival for the whole family, scheduled for this coming Saturday at the Rosedal, in Palermo. All these activities are free, and specially designed for those interested in discovering and enjoying the best contemporary Argentine art.

The Art Week presents a calendar of three Gallery Nights, that from today and until Friday night invite onlookers to the main art galleries of San Telmo, Palermo, Puerto Madero, Recoleta and Retiro.

Today, the meeting point for the guided tours are Uriarte 1976 (Palermo), Tacuarí 586 (San Telmo) and Callao 1880 (Barrio Norte), where art lovers can visit some of the galleries participating in the respective circuits zones. The Gallery night will be held in Palermo.

Tomorrow, tours start at 16.30, from Humboldt 1510 (Palermo), Mexico 459 (San Telmo) and Arroyo 858 (Retiro), and 18.30 MACBA (San Juan 328) will become the scene of the debate on ” The artist’s place today “, bringing together Carlos Herrera, Verónica Gómez and Carlos Huffman. The Gallery Night of the day will take place in San Telmo and Puerto Madero, with specially arranged transport to take from one neighborhood to another to art lovers.

On Friday, tours start at Uriarte 1332 (Palermo), Libertad 978 (Barrio Norte)
and Av. Santa Fe 834 (Retiro) and The Gallery Night will be held in Retiro, Plaza San Martin, Recoleta and Barrio Norte.

Art Week will finish on Saturday with an outdoors drawing festival, in the Rose Garden, in Palermo.
