Are you ready for #MuseumWeek?

Museumweek

More than 1400 museums and cultural institutions from 50 countries will participate, starting next Monday, in the #MuseumWeek 2015, a global and virtual move that organizes Twitter with the idea of exchanging images, secrets, memories and anecdotes under the same hashtag.

From Argentina, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA), the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (Malba), Proa Foundation, the Museum of Pasion Boquense and the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez of Santa Fe, will be joining this special week, among others.

7 days, 7 themes, 7 hashtags!

The idea is to play for seven days with seven different hashtags:

#secretsMW will be the hashtag for Monday 23 March: Museums and cultural establishments from all over the globe welcome you to their everyday world and introduce you to work behind the scenes… and perhaps a few well-kept secrets!

#souvenirsMW will be the hashtag for Tuesday 24 March: this day you’ll be able to share your souvenirs and memories of visits: photos, mugs, books, postcards, encounters and special moments!

#architectureMW will be the hashtag for Wednesday 25 March: Explore the history, architectural heritage, gardens and surroundings of museums.

#inspirationMW will be the hashtag for Thursday 26 March: Now it’s your turn to create and share for posterity! Art, science, history and ethnography are all around us. To your smartphones!

#familyMW will be the hashtag for Friday 27 March: With the weekend almost here, prepare family visits or upcoming school trips with advice and tips from the museums themselves.

#favMW will be the hashtag for Saturday 28 March: Now the weekend has begun, share your special favorites (works, conferences, locations, etc.) in 140-character messages, videos, photos or Vines.

#poseMW will be the hashtag for Sunday 29 March: This last day of #MuseumWeek 2015 is all about creativity! Poses, memes or selfies… it’s up to you!
