Ice skating in Buenos Aires

If you are visiting Buenos Aires during the winter and want to try some ice skating, this week the Paseo Alcorta shopping opened an ice rink. The mall will host an ice rink until September and it it will cost $ 40 for 45 minutes. In addition, shows and demonstrations will be offered during the weekends.

And, beyond entertainment, if you are looking to take classes and have fun while doing a different exercise, you can visit other ice rinks such as My Way in Palermo, Winter in Caballito or  The Ice Planet in Flores.

The great heir of the local electronic move, thanks to its location and good selection of international DJs. Open only on Fridays, Saturdays.
Crobar Buenos Aires is on Marcelino Freire s / n (near Av del Libertador 3886), Paseo de la Infanta, Arch 17, Palermo. Ticket prices range from $ 40 to $ 100. Do not go with your cap on, they will not let you in.

La Noche en Vela: sleepless in Buenos Aires

It’s a night to enjoy in Buenos Aires.

La Noche en Vela will have three circuits (Central, South and North) and over 100 proposals in 60 artistic and cultural meeting places of Buenos Aires.

Music, theater, dance, video projections and monumental multimedia installations will be the main attractions. In addition, one hundred bars, restaurants and pizzerias in the city will join the party extending their working shifts and will offer special menus, as well as 50 Buenos Aires hotels will offer special deals and discounts.

The tourist bus service will also be available during this sleepless night. They have a double-deck (no ceiling on the top floor), with capacity for 50 seated passengers and a special tour guide. They leave every half hour from the corner of Florida and Ave. Roque Sáenz Peña. The round trip takes 2 hours 45 minutes, but passengers can get on and off at any stop. Tickets can be purchased on the same bus or the Tourist Information Centre of the city government, located in Florida and Diagonal Norte.

International Bike Day

In order to promote this mean of transportation and draw attention to the rights of cyclists, April 19th has been established International Bike Day.

The bicycle is an economic and ecological alternative: it is also beneficial to our health at all ages and friendly environment. Both within the city and in rural environments the use of the bicycle is the catalyst for a healthier life in a responsible society.

Visit and discover a different Buenos Aires: rent a bicycle with La Bicicleta Naranja or Bike tours. You won’t regret it.

Rolling down BA: In line skating

In line skating (or rollerblading) is a different way of doing physical activity outdoors. Not only you can have fun, but you can also tone up your legs and improve your cardiovascular endurance. And in Buenos Aires there are several places to go and practice:

They offer free roller slalom classes every Saturday at 4 pm at the Rose Garden of Palermo.

Moondiola
This group of skaters meet every Friday night in Puerto Madero and start skating down to Palermo. The tour also includes dinner at Costanera. If you’ve never skate at night before it is best to sign up for a daily tour.

Patin Day
This group meet every Saturday at 16 at the Hilton Hotel in Puerto Madero (Macacha Güemes to 300). The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and almost always ends in the Rose Garden of Palermo. Must be an intermediate level skater in order join.

There are no excuses: go around Buenos Aires and have fun!

Bookstore night is a multidimensional event that seeks to promote the sale of books and honor the historic tradition of bookstores in the city of Buenos Aires, whose geographical axis is Corrientes Ave.

One night a year,  Corrientes Ave. becomes pedestrian between Callao and Talcahuano st., and the most emblematic bookstores & bars become venues for book presentations, roundtables and other cultural events.
